Information for Librarians within the Pioneer System

Geneva Public Library Genealogical Research Policy

Because our library is not sufficiently staffed to conduct extensive individual research, we are only able to help with specific questions that use sources within our library.

Individuals outside of the Pioneer Library System must adhere to the following fee schedule:

• $10 retainer fee payable at the time of the request. The retainer fee will be applied as a discount to the final bill once the research is complete, but it must be received before we begin your research.
• $20 per hour for research time billed in quarter hour increments.
• $0.20 per copy or printout and standard postage rates for mailing.

Patrons participating in research through their Pioneer library will be billed as follows:

• $0.20 per copy or printout paid to patron’s library upon receiving material
• Price of postage should the patron want information delivered via mail

* Please note that these fees apply even if no information is found.

 Please print and fill out this form, and send it to Geneva Public Library, 244 Main Street, Geneva, NY 14456. After research has been completed, any information found will be sent to the patron along with the final bill.

 Checks must be made payable to Geneva Public Library.
