Hitchcock Film Series
Free to the public, the series will focus on three of Hitchcock's most notable works
September 5 The Man Who Knew Too Much (1935)
October 3 The Lady Vanishes (1938)
November (TBA) To Catch A Thief (1955)
The Friends of the Geneva Public Library are sponsoring a year-long classic film series beginning in September. A trio of movies directed by Alfred Hitchcock will be shown in the fall. The Man Who Knew Too Much, a thriller that first came out in 1935 and again in 1956 and is reported to be the film that established Alfred Hitchcock as the premier director of suspense-based thrillers will be shown Wednesday September 5th at 7:00 pm in the library's first floor reading room. The second film, The Lady Vanishes (1938) will be shown on October 3rd , and To Catch A Thief will be shown on November 7th .
Admission is free. Popcorn and beverages will be available. The movie's length is 75 minutes. A winter and a spring series are also being planned.
Weekly
Weeders
Friends of the Library are organizing a "Weekly Weeders" program starting May 20 to maintain and beautify the library grounds. Volunteers can sign up for the pleasure of weeding the library's planting beds.
Sign up for one week, and weed any ONE day during that week.
